LARIUS – NEW PARTNER IN THE SAMOA GROUP
SAMOA acquires LARIUS, a manufacturer of paint spraying, fluid transfer and material extrusion systems, to the Group.
SAMOA INDUSTRIAL, S.A., with headquarters in Gijón-Spain and head of the Samoa Group, has acquired the Italian company LARIUS, Srl, a manufacturer of paint spraying, fluid transfer and other dispensing and extrusion equipment.
The SAMOA Group, which is an integrated manufacturing group of companies, is one of the world leaders in lubrication and liquid handling equipment, serving a broad number of end markets, including vehicle services, public works, agriculture, mining, oil & gas, energy, steel, industrial & machinery, automotive, wood, chemical and others.
SAMOA’s product range covers air-operated piston and diaphragm pumps, electrical and hand-held devices, hose reels, liquid metering and metering control equipment, waste liquid collection products and accessories.
The Group currently employs 575 people worldwide and has a commercial presence in over 115 countries through its own subsidiaries and authorised distributors.
LARIUS is a renowned Italian-based manufacturer of quality pumps, paint spray equipment, viscous material extrusion equipment and advanced mixing systems.
Its activity falls under the following market segments:
product finishing, corrosion control, product assembly, process support and contractor equipment.
The Group has recently expanded in Gijón with a new plant dedicated to industrial pumping and electronic liquid monitoring & control equipment to increase its manufacturing capabilities.
By acquiring LARIUS, SAMOA is complementing its present product line with a wider and well-proven range of products, in order to enter new markets where the Group has not been present until today.
As part of the Samoa Group, LARIUS will continue its excellent 50-year tradition of producing only the highest quality and delivering excellent customer value and service.
The Samoa Group anticipates and expects no significant changes on the market, whether the LARIUS brand identity, sales representation, pricing or distribution.
The founder, Mr Domenico Castagna, and his brother, Mr Pierangelo Castagna, will continue at LARIUS in the coming years to ensure continuity during the transition into the Group. They are delighted with the acquisition:
